Bethel Mission

Bethel Mission men's shelter in Des Moines has been open since 1915 providing shelter, food and support for men. The shelter is there to help provide opportunities for hope and recovery for the those faced with homelessness, hunger and abuse or addiction.

The West Des Moines staff prepared and served lunch to individuals living at Bethel Mission and served a 2nd lunch that was open to the public. Over 100 meals were served. Some of our staff had the opportunity to sit down and hear the stories of men who are working on overcoming challenges they have been faced with. It was a very humbling and rewarding experience for the staff.
