The Dubuque team had a great experience volunteering at their local Humane Society. They were given a tour, learned about the shelter and levels of needs the animals have and assisted with various tasks.
While no one ended up taking a pet home this time, the group did have a new appreciation for how much work is involved with the upkeep of the shelter and how important it is to adopt. If you live in the Dubuque area, there are an abundance of older dogs and kittens at the shelter waiting for a good home.
