    Universal Pediatrics are proud members of the Iowa Alliance in Home Care and will be exhibiting at this year's IAHC Annual Conference & Expo on June 26th at the Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center.   • Iowa Special Olympics


    Congratulations to one of Universal Pediatrics clients from our Mason City Office in Iowa!! This young man qualified to participate in the Iowa Special Olympics state competition held in Ames, IA on May 23rd. He competed in the boys Electric Wheelchair Race and was cheered on by the Mason City Clinical Nurse Managers, his nurse who cares for him at home, friends, and family!!   • National Association for Home Care & Hospice


    The Corporate Management Team for Universal Pediatric Services attended this year’s 2013 National Association of Home Care and Hospice (NAHC) Annual Meeting and Exposition in Washington, D.C., October 31 – November 3. There were over 175 educational offerings and close to 275 exhibitors. The annual meeting was beneficial for our agency to attend to connect with colleagues who share the same concerns and issues, to advocate for the home care and hospice industry at a national level, learn best practices, and to view the future to see what home care and hospice can become. Two of our Compliance Officers, Jan M. and Tracy G., arrived before the conference to attend an ICD-10 training seminar. Jan and Tracy were listed as faculty and presented for the 2nd year at the Annual Meeting and Exposition. Their topic was entitled: “We Have to Comply with Medicare CoPs?     Universal Pediatric Services awards Metessa, RN, from the Minnesota Branch as "Caregiver of the Year"!! Metessa has been a nurse with Universal Pediatrics since 2009. She is punctual to work, works all scheduled hours, and is flexible when a schedule change may occur unexpectedly. Metessa is always communicating with the Minnesota Branch if there are medical changes with her client providing excellent continuity of care.
